A PLANE IS ON ITS WAY TO TORONTO , WHEN A BLONDE IN

ECONOMY CLASS GETS UP, AND MOVES TO THE FIRST CLASS

SECTION AND SITS DOWN.

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT WATCHES HER DO THIS, AND ASKS

TO SEE HER TICKET.

SHE THEN TELLS THE BLONDE THAT SHE PAID FOR ECONOMY

CLASS, AND THAT SHE WILL HAVE TO SIT IN THE BACK.

THE BLONDE REPLIES, "I'M BLONDE, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M

GOING TO TORONTO AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT GOES INTO THE COCKPIT AND TELLS

THE PILOT AND THE CO-PILOT THAT THERE IS A BLONDE

BIMBO SITTING IN FIRST CLASS, THAT BELONGS IN

ECONOMY, AND WON'T MOVE BACK TO HER SEAT.

THE CO-PILOT GOES BACK TO THE BLONDE AND TRIES TO

EXPLAIN THAT BECAUSE SHE ONLY PAID FOR ECONOMY

SHE WILL HAVE TO LEAVE AND RETURN TO HER SEAT.

THE BLONDE REPLIES, "I'M BLONDE, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M

GOING TO TORONTO AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."

THE CO-PILOT TELLS THE PILOT THAT HE PROBABLY SHOULD

HAVE THE POLICE WAITING WHEN THEY LAND TO ARREST

THIS BLONDE WOMAN WHO WON'T LISTEN TO REASON.

THE PILOT SAYS, "YOU SAY SHE IS A BLONDE? I'LL

HANDLE THIS, I'M MARRIED TO A BLONDE. I SPEAK BLONDE."

HE GOES BACK TO THE BLONDE AND WHISPERS IN HER EAR,

AND SHE SAYS, "OH, I'M SORRY." AND GETS UP AND GOES

BACK TO HER SEAT IN ECONOMY..

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT AND CO-PILOT ARE AMAZED AND

ASKED HIM WHAT HE SAID TO MAKE HER MOVE WITHOUT

ANY FUSS.

Decision making

As a young person we know we have many dicesions in life to make. So I found this interesting to use in life. Begin with prayer. Frame your attitude into one of trust and obedience as you commit the decision to prayer. There's no reason to be fearful in decision making when you are secure in the knowledge that God has your best interest in mind.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Define the decision. Ask yourself if the decision involves a moral or non-moral area. It is actually a little easier to discern the will of God in moral areas because most of the time you will find clear direction in God's Word. If God has already revealed his will in Scripture, your only response is to obey. Non-moral areas still require the application of biblical principles, however, sometimes the direction is harder to distinguish.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Be ready to accept and obey God's answer. It's unlikely that God will reveal his plan if he knows already that you won't obey. It is absolutely essential that your will be completely submitted to God's. When your will is humbly and fully submitted to the Master, you can have confidence that he will illuminate your path.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

Exercise faith. Remember too, that decision making is a process that takes time. You may have to resubmit your will over and over again to God throughout the process. Then by faith, which pleases God, trust him with a confident heart that he will reveal his will.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Seek concrete direction. Begin investigating, evaluating and gathering information. Find out what the Bible says about the situation? Gain practical and personal information that relates to the decision, and begin writing down what you learn.
Obtain counsel. In difficult decisions it's wise to get spiritual and practical counsel from the godly leaders in your life. A pastor, elder, parent, or simply a mature believer can often contribute important insight, answer questions, remove doubts and confirm inclinations. Make sure to choose individuals who will offer sound biblical advice and not just say what you want to hear.
Proverbs 15:22
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

Make a list. First write down the priorities you believe God would have in your situation. These are not the things that are important to you, but rather the things that are most important to God in this decision. Will the outcome of your decision draw you closer to God? Will it glorify him in your life? How will it impact those around you?
Weigh the decision. Make a list of the pros and cons connected with the decision. You may find that something on your list clearly violates the revealed will of God in his Word. If so, you have your answer. This is not his will. If not, then you now have a realistic picture of your options to help you make a responsible decision.
Choose your spiritual priorities. By this time you should have enough information to establish your spiritual priorities as they relate to the decision. Ask yourself which decision best satisfies those priorities? If more than one option will fulfill your established priorities, then choose the one which is your strongest desire!
Sometimes God gives you a choice. In this case there is no right and wrong decision, but rather a freedom from God to choose, based on your preferences. Both options are within God's perfect will for your life and both will lead to the fulfillment of God's purpose for your life.

Act on your decision. If you have arrived at your decision with the sincere intention of pleasing the heart of God, incorporating biblical principles and wise counsel, you can proceed with confidence knowing that God will work out his purposes through your decision.

The BIG Parasite in the Baptist midst!!!! Caution!!!

Unfortunatly In the Baptist midst, there is a great parasite, eatin out of the family. As in children raising, Many christians are not raising their kids, in submission and honor and respect . Now I am not a father yet and I might not understand totaly how it is like, yet I know it is a very tough job and not easy, just of being an uncle I have leaned a ton.As in how much I need to work in being persistent. But any ways unfortanatly some christians are leaving, and going to the reformed theories, they are willing to sacrifice even what they believe, in order for the family and they do have stong families or so it looks like, So why we who are His people, wake up and teach and train our kids to love the Lord with all thir hart mind, soul, and strainght?My biggest fear is not to raise my kids right, but I am praying and trying to watch and learn.So Hopes up and let us honnor Him at all

Dear ones, sorry I have not been posting, A lot has been going around hot and and burnnig/ smoky Brazil,I just got back from teen camp, it was wonderful, the title was Rowing against the Tied, And we atlked about Couring and dating, and how we need to keep ourself pure for the one God is preparing for you, even though some people make fun of me I am proud to wait on Him. I am almost done with school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Also I have been memorizing more of the scriptures! Well basicly that is what I have been doing lately, also missing my two sisters, and praying on going to Ambassabor Baptist College..

Trusting Him

I have been thinking a lot lately about how is my trust iin God. But I do find that sometimes I am failing to put all my trust or faith in God. Many times we think what what is best for us, or sometimes we try to do what we think best. I have to in list in the Brazilian army by law in which I do not wish to sirve at any means and I even lost some nights thinking about it which was plain foolishness of my part my lack of trust and faith in Christ to know that He is in control and He knows what is best for me. So is your trust in the Lord? Are we willing to let him handle he knows what He is doing, but for some reason we just think we are smart enough to handle the things in our Life. Let us let God do his work in us and in our life and trust Him......He knows the Best,!!!!!!!

My sister Jennifer and I have been reading Romans together and we came a cross chapter 1 verse 8 and how the faith of the christians Rome were spoken of throughout the who world, and in that time it was I beleve even worse than this present day, but they keept such an example. I have been reading a lot of American literature and I cam across Fanny Crosby whom wrote a lot of songs that we sing today. She was blind from something the doctors gave her when she was yet a baby which made her blind for the rest of her life, but she did not take that as if she was handicap. When she was 8 years old she wrote this small poem which is such a testimony

Oh, what happy child I am,

Although I cannot see!

I am resolved that in this world

Contented I will be!

How many blessings I enjoy

That other people don't!

So weep or sigh because I'm blind

I cannot and won't!

So We who are soo blessed many times complain because we don't get what we want?

Let us be thankful and contempt for all we are and have. We do not dissever even to breathe!

This last time I went to the States, in one of the flights before we took off was a storm, but we took of any ways and a few seconds after takeoff we where soon above the clouds and the sun was sooooooooo bright up there that your eyes would hurt. Yet under them clouds was pitch black which caused me to think of Life and how some days just is rainy and ugly, but Let's remember that behind the clouds the sun is still shinning .

Our family went to the store Tuesday, and scene I love apples I made up my mind that I would choose some apples. Now just so you know here in Brazil national apples are small and not as expensive which compared to the US is not cheep and quality let's not even go there. There are some exported ones but you pay for it $$. Any ways I chose some of the reddest apples craving for the ones like the fresh picked ones in the States. So we get home and I decided I would I would have the pleasure of flavoring one, so like alway the flesh goes for the reddest one so I did " Me first " I got it:) but for my disappointment it was nasty in the inside:( But this brought to mind of how sometimes I am . I try to look the best I can in my outside but my inside part is no good, and I sometimes forget to keep the inside good because I am soo occupied with my exterior look. Even in marriage many people look at the outside and that is why the divorce rate is so high . Also sometimes we look at peoples outside look rather inside . So are you like me who hasn't been paying enough attention to you Heart rather than you Looks?????? Let's remember that the outside appearance fools us even our own. I know this doesn't make total sense but it's just something that brought this to mind....... Another example is the apple with a worm on it.;)REMEMBER let's look in the inside part of ourselves and other people!!!

Well Basically I have been studying and trying to grow in many aspects in my life. It seem the more I try the more areas in my life there are , But that is when I need to take it as a challenge. I am praying about going to College in N Carolina and doing missions , and just want to work for the Lord . Also look forward on someday having and raising a Godly family. Here are some pictures I'v been taking and of Shyan my Horse she is such a nice horse I love her. The smaller horse is my dad's , He is soo funny the way he acts . Trying to learn more about web-design. I also am trying to learn Spanish also. I'v been thinking about our future and what it holds specially in the good ole USA and it's backsliding, wish brings a pain in the innermost part of my heart , that is for the love for my country. But the fact is our generation is what can change our tomorrow. The way we teach our young ones, or let's say our wee ones. If we don't try to fix the problem which need's to start in our heart first then in our family then in our society. What I mean is we need to wake up to reality and take action, on way of doing that is teaching our kids to be Men and Women of integrity and also that in the future for them to be in our senates and even my God be praised The White House!!!

There is some thing i have kept in mind is that " a person who dreams small will always live in a small world" This is more than a dream.I am not a father yet and don't plan on being any time soon, but I know God gives us this Teen years not to have fun with friends which is not wrong, but it is a time God gives for us to mature. SO, Are you up to the task? Are you ready to take life and make to where it can change our nation? The more we are the sooner and the more effect we can make! Are we ready to be a light like The Almighty commanded us? If we don't act the homosexuals will, and take the seat in the senate and so forth. WE HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE A CHANGE. Sorry I have not been posting , Lately.

Well if you don't know yet I am a very proud and blessed Uncle. I stand in awe to see God's hand work and goodness to mankind by giving them such preaches gifts, and I soo long to some day have my own. God is soo good.

I have been studying Like crazy lately and trying to get done. I am also praying about going to Ambassador Baptist Bible college this summer and studying The Fundamental Baptist History and all those through out the ages who has gone through what the have . My sisters where always telling me that what we do for Christ is what counts and it's sooo true Like we brought nothing nothing will we take away. And also God with charge us for all those around us who we did not share the Gospel with . He did not give the commandment of go and preach the gospel to every creature for us not to, But why should we if the Chosen ones are going to be saved any ways? another thing in the bible that does not go with Calvin's theory. So remember that What We Do For Christ Is What Counts!!!!!!

The Value of Siblings

Have you ever stop to think or to appreciate you siblings?

Well I finally stopped to think about it and work on it and it came to pass that I built a relationship with my sisters thatI would not change for any thing. I tried treating them as they deserve and the just bloomed and when I needed some one they were always there,you learn how to love them as yourself and be so thankful for them. I thank the Lord for giving me the world's best sister and miss them soo much , so it you don't have a good relationship with your siblings start working now because usually the way you treat your sisters is the way you will treat your spouse.

Did You Stand?

I was sitting the other day in a crowded airport, waiting for a boarding call on my flight to Arizona.
As I sat there , I noticed an old man sitting across from me facing the large picture window that gave passengers a view of the runway. The history of a life of hardship traced the old mans eyes as they stared into the twilight of his years, and as I watched, I saw tears rolling from those ancient steel gray eyes, leaving a trail of sadness that tore at my heart. I got up and walked to him and asked if I could join him. Without even looking up to identify me, he nodded, and I sat down, feeling awkward but intensely drawn to him in compassion for his quiet tears.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but notice you sitting here alone. Are you ok?" I asked.

There was a deafening silence suddenly between us, for what seemed a long time, and finally he spoke in a voice that was worn and weary with age."Did you stand when she walked by?" he asked.

I was confused by his question, and a bit taken off guard by the tone of his voice that sounded almost accusatory.

"I don't understand sir, , I answered."Did you stand when she walked by?" he asked again, staring straight into my eyes. "Who?" I asked him. But he turned away from me, staring again at the tarmac just outside our window.

I waited for an answer, but there was not going to be any. Our conversation was over it seemed, and I got up to leave, hearing the call to board that by this time, was welcome as an excuse to get out of an awkward situation.

I started walking away, but was troubled and torn by his question. I boarded my plane after clearing the gate, found my seat , and settled into it, looking back at the terminal I had just left. He was there as I had left him, sitting alone facing the tarmac.

I watched for several minutes, and in that time I noticed a number of people stop to visit with him, presumably to ask if he was ok, and then walk away, some of them shaking there heads, others just gone from view at a brisk pace. And still he sat , fixated on a plane that was resting about 300 yards away, surrounded by military personnel.

As I watched, a small procession of 6 men carried a flag draped coffin away from the plane to a waiting hearse, where they stood after the rear door of the black car had been closed and they offer a salute as the car slowly drove away. I looked back toward the window of the terminal, and instantly my tears nearly blinded me when I saw the old man I had been talking to also offering a salute, but from his wheel chair now parked next to the window.

Since our craft had used a rolling stair gantry for passenger access, I got up, and made my way to the door of the plane, and got off. I walked deliberately, heading for the terminal, making my way through the crowds to the old man at the window. I walked up beside him, faced the plane as yet another coffin draped with Old Glory was placed in a waiting hearse, and I slowly raised my hand in salute, allowing my hand to drop only when the hearse rolled out of view around a security fence.

I turned slowly to the old man who by now was looking solidly into my soul with eyes of countless memories.

"I know her name now sir, and I stood when she walked by."

He was visibly moved, and he said to me in quavering voice ,"Thank you sir . . . for what you did. My greatest wish these days is to stand again for her, but I can't."

I gave my legs in '43 and my oldest son in '67 to that Lady, so she could keep walking. It hurts when no one cares that she walks by.

I missed my flight that day, but my heart and soul found wings to the heavens on the words of an 90 year old man who dared to share a heart full of memories with me and dared to remind me why Old Glory stills waves as the beacon of Hope in a lost world.

Hello there!

Guess who this is?

No, it's not Jed and no, I do not want to be a Navy SEAL!

Yes, I am older than he, and yes, I am a girl.

I am his middle sister. I have always dreamed of the day I would "hijack" his blog and really enjoy myself writing posts about him. No need; Jed himself asked me to write something in his blog today. He is either too busy to write or he has run out of things to say. You figure out which it is.

I would hate to take advantage of his wonderful goodness in entrusting me to this job, so I decided to write a nice post. Of course, since he trusts so much in me, I am assuming that he thinks me incapable of writing any other type of posts.

I will be brief. I have a wonderful brother and I love him very much. (Is that good enough now, Jed?) You could find other people to write this just as well. :-)

All joking aside, I have to admit that I really, fully like my brother! He is tons of fun, smart, and nice. He takes me along jogging even thought he knows I can't run always keep up with him. He comes up with awful little jokes to make me laugh when I least want to laugh. He sings me his Navy SEALS cadence songs and teaches me the repeating parts. He heroically kills the bats that invade my sister's room at nights. He shares his chocolate with me (well, sometimes!). The list could go on, but I think you get the point. My brother is the best!

We are working on a family project of recording a CD and I know that all of this effort would not be much fun if we did not have Jed with us. Studio hours can seem long and when we begin to get a little short with each other (yep, that does really happen around here!) we can always depend on Jed cheering us up. We enjoy ourselves so much at the studio that we took some pictures to prove it.

Yep! We have tons of fun - don't you beleive it?!? :-)

Thursday Dad and I,Rodrigo and Rogerio went to where my dad lived as a child. They were thrilled because I had a soldier's pack of food and we went up the mountain and ate it up there . We heard some Apes but did not see any.

We met this little feller on the way. It wasn't very happy with our presence and I decided not to mess with it, because it was about 8 cm:)

FINDING THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD
PRERQUISITES (Romans 12:1, 2)
1. Salvation. I am saved—--a true believer?
2. Dedication. Have I yielded myself and my life to God?
3. Separation. Is my life free from worldliness?
4. Transformation. Am I growing and progressing in my Christian life?

FINDING GOD’S WILL
1. ERASE your own will and desire in the matter. (This is the most important step.)

2. PRAY, asking God to show you His own will to help you erase your own will, and to give you wisdom to make the right decisions.

3. READ portions of the Bible that deal with the matter you are considering.

4. REMEMBER the great principles of God’s Word that apply to nearly all decisions. (See opposite page)

5. CONSIDER the ways that are open. (It often helps to write them down.)

6. THINK and meditate considering all aspects of the problem (It often helps to list those points for and against.) Pray over the list.

7. DECIDE!!!

8. PEACE? The final test of God’s will is whether or not your decision gives you peace. If not, begin again giving particular attention to.

The Navajo Indian

A NAVAJO INDIAN
A Navajo Indian, who gave genuine evidence of having received Jesus Christ as Savior and thus experienced His Shepherd care, translated this Psalm from his Navajo language into English. The translation reads:
The Great Father above is a Shepherd Chief, and I am His, and with Him I want not. He throws out to me a rope and the name of the rope is love. Right or Wrong?

MICHAEL HAD THOUGHT about the matter for a long time and had finally come to see bis pastor because he wanted help. Now, in the quiet study, he looked across the desk into the understanding eyes of God’s servant and put into words the question that bothered him.

“Pastor, I’m a Christian, and I want to be a good one. I want to do what is right and stay away from what is wrong. I try to do that, but sometimes it’s hard for me to know which is which, I mean, with some things it is hard to tell. They seem 0K, but I’m just not sure.” He paused and smiled a bit self-consciously before concluding, “I guess what I need is some kind of test. How can I know for sure whether a thing is right or wrong?”

How can I know for sure whether a thing is right or wrong? This question baffles more teenagers than just Michael. Oddly enough, the answer is not all that difficult. There is a test that can be applied to any activity to clearly indicate whether something is right or wrong for the Christian young person. Honest answers to the following ten questions will tell you what you want to know.

1. Can I do this and still be obedient to God’s Word? Some things are strictly forbidden in the Bible. Is this one of them? Would doing this break any principle taught in God’s Word? As a Christian, you are responsible to know what the Bible teaches and to obey it (Rom. 14:12).

2. Can I do this to the glory of God?Man was created by God for His glory. The Christian is plainly told that whatever Fie does should be done to the glory of God (1 Cor. 10:31) Right—or Wrong?...

3. Can I please God by doing this?As a Christian, the delight of your heart should be to please your Heavenly Father, the One Who loves you so much He provided salvation and eternal life for you (1 Thess. 4:1).

4. Can I ask God’s blessing on this?Is this something you can commit to God in prayer before you do it and then do it as unto Him and in His name? Can you invite Him to go with you and be comfortable with the blessing of His presence (Col. 3:17, 23)?

5. Can I imagine the Lord Jesus doing this?He lived on this earth, faced all of its temptations, and yet He did not sin.He left you an example, and it is His will that you should follow in His steps (1 Pet. 2:21).

6. Can I do this without bringing dishonor to God’s name?Because you are saved, you are a member of God’s family. Ali you do, whether good or bad, now reflects on Him and on other Christians, your brothers and, sisters in Christ (Col. 1:10).

7. Can I do this without grieving the Holy Spirit?It is a wonderful truth that every Christian has the Holy Spirit dwelling within him. It is your responsibility to follow His guidance in all things pertaining to your Christian life and to avoid doing those sinful things that‘ grieve Him (Eph.4:30).‘

8. Can I do this without harming my body, the temple of the Holy Spirit? t Physically harmful things are never a part of God’s will for you. Their results will be with you the rest of your life and may hinder your effectiveness as a servant of the Lord. Think of tomorrow and be careful today (1 Cor. 6:19)

9. Can I do this and still maintain a good testimony? Will this make you less successful in witnessing to the unsaved and winning them to the Lord? Will this be a stumbling block to some weaker Christian?Will this be a source of sorrow or discouragement to other believers (Rom.14:7)?

10. Can I do this without being ashamed if the Lord found me doing it when He returns?The Lord’s return for His own is a sure prospect, but no one knows the day or the hour when it will occur. This means the Christian should always be ready, always expecting Him, always faithfully serving until the trumpet sounds to signal the glorious event!
